My name is Guillaume Renard aka RUN. I was born in  April 1976 in the North of France.
I have from the youngest age had a passion for drawing and always wanted to be a comic strip artist. My 1st comics was a remake of Grendizer, i was 4 but it's pretty ununderstandable... I am big a fan of Old School Science Fiction, Z movies and Mexican Wrestling. Big fan also of 80's 90's porn movies (Raquel is the best!)
I started  my professional career in 1999 in the famous web agency "Teamchman" where I met many interresting personality, such as Yan, Tony & Dany from SemperFi of course, but also Kant1, Yuck, Super2,  Scien,  Paul & my pal Le Juge. From 2000 to 2003,  as Artistic Director, I worked on a variety of interesting projects particularly in advertising and video-clip production.
From 2003 and up to the present I have been working in an artists team, SemperFi, where I devote my skills to other projects more especially in illustration techniques and toy design.
I had the idea of the principal character of Mutafukaz, my main project, during Halloween 1998. The original document was a short, black and white comic strip improvised in my student bedroom. Over time the story became more structured and set in a wider universe and today Mutafukaz is filled with a world of original characters that interreact with each other. I produced with Yan from SemperFi & Yuck as backup an animated, short length 7 minutes movie in 2002, intended as a trailer and this was shown at a number of festivals and had the distinction of receiving a nomination at The Sun Dance Festival in Salt Lake City in 2003.
The Mutafukaz web site - www.mutafukaz.com - is the very latest creation. A "Qee minifigure" came out for the official launch of the website and today Mutafukaz can now claim to have a wide community of followers. Currently i'm working on the Comic, & i'm looking for a publisher.


  Mon nom est Guillaume Renard aka RUN, je suis né en 1976 dans le nord de la France.
Je dessine depuis tout petit, ma première bande dessinée, un remake de Goldorak, est datée de 1980... Par contre on y comprend rien.
Je suis un grand fan de science-fiction old school, de séries Z et de catch mexicain. De films porno des années 80 et 90 aussi (Raquel déglingue tout!)
Je suis entré dans la vie professionelle en 1999, dans la fameuse agence de webdesign "TeamChman", ou j'ai rencontré nombre de personalités interessantes, Yan, Tony & Dany de SemperFi, mais aussi Kant1, Yuck, Super2, Scien, Paul et mon Poto Le Juge. Je connaissais Rolito bien avant d'entrer à TeamChman, en 1995 on avait bossé ensemble sur notre fanzine ovni "suck cheese shark face". Directeur artistique de 2000 à 2003 j'ai travaillé sur pas mal de projets intéressants, notamment pour la pub & le clip vidéo.
Depuis 2003 je bosse dans un collectif d'artiste, "SemperFi", où je continue à m'investir dans de nombreuses productions, notamment de l'illustration et du toy design.
 
C'est pendant Halloween 1998 que j'ai eu  l'idée du personnage principal de Mutafukaz, mon projet principal. La première version du comic était une petite bd en noir et blanc improvisée dans ma chambre d'etudiant. Petit à petit l'histoire s'est véritablement structurée et l'univers s'est considérablement approfondi. Mutafukaz regorge aujourd'hui de personnages originaux qui intéragissent les uns avec les autres.
  En 2002 j'ai réalisé avec Yan de SemperFi & Yuck en renfort un court métrage d'animation de 7min, sorte de trailer, qui s'est fait connaitre dans nombre de festivals, et a été notamment nominé au SunDance Festival à Salt Lake City en 2003.
Le site de Mutafukaz est le tout dernier projet réalisé -www.mutafukaz.com- Un Qee minifigure est sorti pour le lancement officiel du site, et Mutafukaz compte maintenant une grosse communauté d'initiés. En ce moment je bosse sur la bd, et je suis à la recherche d'un éditeur.
